I prefer Fat Elvis. I just love his hits from the late 60s like “In the Ghetto” and “Suspicious Minds.” I like my Elvis fat, sweaty, drugged, and in a white leisure suit. I’m weird like that.
All told, Elvis had approximately 18 number one hits and 38 top ten hits. In 1969, “Suspicious Minds” became the last Elvis single to top the Billboard Hot 100 List. “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” should have made it to the top in 1975, but the song just didn’t have enough power to drag his fat ass up the charts.
