Paris is Not Amused
Paris Hilton is threatening legal action after an advertising agency had the nerve to use her image on their billboards selling advertising space with the word "VACANT" superimposed over her face. Well, she can't sue for false advertising anyway.Adam McGregor from Media5 told the Sunday Star-Times the company, which had grown from having 35 to 70 advertising sites in Wellington and Auckland, was not using Hilton to endorse their billboards. They were "just having a bit of fun".
We assume that the agency has taken care of the rights to the image of Paris, but we will ask the question," McGregor said. (Source)
Oh sure, they were just having "fun." Well let me tell you, it's all fun and games until Paris Hilton gets called basically the nicest thing anyone has ever said about her and threatens to sue. They may as well just have gone with their original concept: "Our advertising space is cheaper than THIS WHORE."

Don't like or agree with the word whore. She is a person with no great talent and I can't see why she is such a celebrity. But a whore. Not much difference in her love life and a lot of A-Listers in Hollywood. I would not call them that name either.

This isn't the societal double standard that you assume. She self-leaked a sex tape in order to launch a TV series about 2 spoiled rich girls who are forced to perform tasks that they've never seen before; tasks that others simply call, "work".
I think "whore" is very accurate here. It might be the most accurate that the word has ever been...
