What In The WHAT?!
Alright, show of hands, how many saw Kick-Ass? It was pretty good, right? Alright, another show of hands, how many thought Aaron Johnson was cute? Yeah, that's what I thought. Well, for those of you waiting to jump his nerdy little bones, too bad, because he's engaged at the age of 19 to (and here's the kicker) a 43-year-old woman who has two daughters. And they're expecting a baby.At 43, Taylor-Wood is 24 years older than Johnson and already a mother of two from an 11-year marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling. Despite the age difference and existing family, Johnson is madly in love. "I've got a wonderful woman," the 19-year-old says. "She's lovely and she's a fantastic mother."
As the couple prepare for the arrival of their baby this summer, Johnson say he's "excited" and insists that he is undaunted by the challenges of fatherhood. "It's not scary," he says. "I'm already a stepdad to [Taylor-Wood's kids Angelica, 13, and Jessie, 3] anyway. So the nerves have sort of gone." (Source)
...HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. You guys probably know by now that I don't believe in Marriage, Dating, Children or Leprechauns (that last one might not have anything to do with the first three) so right now my mind has just been asploded. Especially since she's old enough to be his mother and Aaron is going to be raising a girl six years younger than him. Whether you like it or not, I think we can all agree when I say, HOLY FUCK.
WTF-squared but in some ways I can understand. The smart-healthy-sure mamma's are sexy. I'd totally be down but the daily 'your-son' comments would be rough.
Is this new news in America? He's in a film about John Lennon she directed that came out over here a while ago so everyone's shit up a storm about that, I just figured it transcended.
So, maybe I'm letting all my Daddy issues rise forth here, but I'm totally fine with this. I mean, we've all dated people decades older than us, right? Just me? Either way, it works for some.
...Although, one thing, he must be packin' because he comes across as a Class A Bore in interviews.
I'm wondering if folks would be as creeped out if it were a 19 year old girl with a 43 year old man.
Personally, I think 19 is rather young to be getting engaged to anyone, regardless of age!
