Reprehensible: (Adjective) Deserving censure or condemnation.A photo of Rihanna taken by the LAPD shortly after she was assaulted was leaked on the internet last night, compliments of the beacons of journalism over at TMZ. You won't find it on this website nor will I be linking to it, however. Because I may make fun of babies and fat people, but apparently I still have some sliver left of what's known as a conscience. It must be nice though, I bet, to just lose it completely. I guess that's the difference between really liking your grandmom's antique engagement ring and stealing it off her finger as she lies cold in the box. In the end, I still don't have a pretty ring, but I also don't have to take half a bottle of vodka and a handful of vicodin to sleep with myself at night. Just the usual pint glass of wine from the box. You know, for the babies.
I feel for Rihanna, and it breaks my heart to see that picture. But as I argued on Gawker last night, this is a classic case of domestic abuse that has played out very publicly, and when the gory details are concealed, various self-serving myths are allowed to take the place of reality-- In Rihanna's case, and in all other domestic abuse cases. Already people had been saying, "Oh, it probably wasn't that bad, the media blows everything out of proportion." In spite of the pain the leaked photo has caused, it also raises awareness of just how terrible domestic violence really is, and silences the speculation that seeks to undermine her ordeal.

Wow, have these people ever considered taking a day off here? You know, sleep in, order some chinese, not exploit people's suffering for their own profit? Obviously not. TMZ can suck a manatee.

For real Stacey! Thanks. The picture didn't need to be shown. However some people may have needed it so they can hopefully stop with the "She must have done something.." tripe. Jeremy however...dude manatees are already endangered so no!
Apparently she is flying to Hawaii to see Chris Brown again... I think if she does that she will lose basically all the public sympathy she has garnered within 2 minutes.
