Priceless: (Adjective) So precious that its value cannot be determined. An explicit,
full-frontal nude photo of Madonna (link
extremely NSFW and spoiler alert! She's not a natural blonde!) circa 1979 sold at Christie's auction house yesterday for the whopping amount of $37,500.
Lee Friedlander's raw, explicit black-and-white image appeared in Playboy in 1985. Friedlander has said of the photo session that Madonna "seemed very confident, a street-wise girl. She told me she was putting a band together but half the kids that age are doing that. She was a good professional model." (Source)
What would you even
do with a $37,500 naked picture of Madonna? Hang it in your bathroom? I guess for the discerning gentleman, one of those artsy-looking, preframed pictures from IKEA just won't cut it. Of course, for the discerning gentleman, regular sex probably doesn't cut it either so much as slamming your dick in a storm window over and over and over again.
More disgusting racy photos of Madonna circa
now:

Stacy --
I am sure it's a good question as to why the photo went for $37K -- but I think the better question is, "why didn't it go for more?"
Doncha think Madonna Louise is screeching in the mirror right now because photos of her from '79 when she was in top form can't get $100K at Christie's? Her brand is fading.
Too bad nobody saw this coming, right?
File Under: Disgusting Old People
Im disgusted and saddened by these pics. She reminds me of my grandma. The wig, the pale skin, the clown make-up not to mention the loose skin. Im sad bc she thought this was a good idea. Why can't she just let it go and age gracefully? She doesn't need the money. She should just pack it in and enjoy her kids etc. And MY GOD the bush in that nude pic! Holy camole I know it was the 70s but goddamn! Ewwww!
I knew a woman just like that. She dressed skanky, partied all night and screwed guys a third her age. One day I just got tired of it. I said, "Grandma..."
The black and white photograph doesn't blow my mind, but it's not shameful to depict a human body as it naturally appears. I wish people wouldn't focus so much on pubic hair, it's not a new concept, it's not a new phenomenon, get over it for fucks sake. Do what you want with yours, but realize that it doesn't define you as a person, and it doesn't need to carry a negative connotation within a work of art.
