No one has really seen much of her lately, purportedly as she's been out on the road doing the competitive pie-eating circuit. From US Weekly:

"Do you think the guys in here are all really looking at all those skinny girls and thinking, Wow, I want to get with her? Or are they looking at the girls with the curves and thinking, Yeah, I want to get with her!" Simpson said.

Fuck the haters, I say good for her. Everybody always knew Jessica Simpson was a fat girl trapped in a skinny girl's body. And if there's one thing I've learned in life the hard way, it's to not try to be something that you aren't. Most people don't even realize that impersonating a police officer is actually a felony.
The Peggy Bundy/Lauri Foreman mashup styling was a sure loser, but she's hardly fat. Bad posture maybe.

Yeah...I think the outfit is making her look heavier than she actually is. I don't think anyone that's over 90 lbs can look good in high-waisted pants with giant pockets in the front, especially when you have big boobs, which can sometimes make girls seem "fatter" as well.
Agreed with the others. The outfit is really frigging awful and brings too much attention to what weight she did gain, especially when you compare her to what she used to be when she was younger and got work. Unfortunately, the tightness of clothes makes her look like that girl who used to be naturally skinny but hasn't accepted that her metabolism has slowed down as she got older and that it'd be prudent to simply buy a bigger size.
That was a really long, drawn-out simile, I realize. Especially since she isn't like that girl, she likely IS that girl.
the outfit is bad, but that's not what is making her look fat. her fat is what's making her look fat.
compared to the skeleton in the above post, she looks pretty good.
at least her fake breasts don't look bolted onto a metal frame.

My God. What a sad world we live in when that is considered "fat" in any sense of the word. She looks like a healthy, attractive young woman to me.
