Scholarly: (Adjective) Involving or relating to serious academic study.According to this month's
Marie Claire, Jessica Simpson might actually be looking to combine her love of religion with her love of... Not excelling at things. That's right, folks! The Queen of Stupidity has aspirations of pursuing a higher education!
“I’ve been contemplating taking a college course in religion,” she tells the magazine. “I love religion. I remember whenever the book The Da Vinci Code came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I TiVoed and then watched eight times.” (Source)
The first thing to remember when contemplating studying college-level "religion" is not to let big, fancy, college words like "theology" hold you down. So yeah: when I hear the words "Jessica Simpson" and "college," I think: "Bad Jessica Simpson Straight-to-DVD
Legally Blonde Rip-off Movie with the Word 'Blonde' in the Title Nonetheless."
Wow, that one makes me laugh. It's not like she's actually getting a DEGREE or enrolling in a program, she's just taking a single class at college. How difficult!
What I would actually like to see are these idiots who purport themselves to be "musicians" and "singers" actually do a B.A in music at any University. I studied music at University and I'm almost entirely sure that people like Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson, Miley Cyrus and even Beyonce wouldn't make it past their first year.
I take it nobody told Jessica that the Da Vinci Code is _fiction_. And when Jessica talks about how she just _loves_ "religion", I'm certain that in her small blond brain, religion = Jeezus. Can you see her sitting in a lecture about Buddhism, Jainism, Islam, Hinduism, etc.? Me neither.
