Paint the Town Red: (Phrase) To celebrate and enjoy oneself; go out on the town.Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released was jail yesterday and Amy celebrated by smoking crack, getting falling down drunk, attacking photographers and sucking on some old dude's knuckle. You know, some of her favorite past times. Unfortunately, her husband wasn't so much there for the festivities, but I'm sure somebody will probably tell her he got out of jail in a few days when she wakes up.

Its sad that she has gotten this bad. Why aren't her parents doing more to stop this. Its sad also bc she has some actual talent. People like Britney Spears who apparently hit rock bottom are miraculously brought back to continue their assault with their shitty music. And people with real talent are left to basically rot and nothing is done to help them. There must be some way to stop her further down ward spiral.
I agree Carolyn. It's very sad and unfortunately, unless drastic measures are taken to get her clean, I don't think she is long for this earth.
You have to wonder that if she does croak do they benifit more from her death? Look at Selena. Sad as that was. She was more popular dead than alive.

yeah but maybe she's living out her dream. some people dream of being a center of attention, regardless of what keeps them there. it's not such a tragedy when you consider the alternative-- modest success, minimal fame, long dreary life-- might seem worse to her than flaring up and burning out young.
I have no idea what the British laws are like, but her parents need to take control the way Britney Spears father has and get Amy under a conservatorship. Maybe if she didn't have free access to her cash she would finally hit rock bottom and get help. I think as long as she can access her millions she will be a drug addict.
Javelin that is a twisted view point but it totally makes sense. How many "celebs" linger in somewhat obscurity hanging on desperatly to their 15 minutes. Maybe she would rather live hard and die young. Of course the leave a good looking corpse part is totally out the window.
