Neglectful: (Adjective) Of failure to care for properly.Well, the good news is that Katie Holmes
finally cut poor little Suri's hair. The bad news is that she's got her wandering around New York City in late October wearing a sundress with no coat. As you can see in the thumbnails below, Katie
herself is wearing a relatively heavy coat -- because guess what? I live about two hours south of NYC and it was fuckens
cold yesterday. Seriously! I even I got in my car and
drove to get lunch at a place that's only one block away. (Hi, Mr. Gore!) So at this point, best case scenario Suri grows up completely socially dysfunctional; worst case scenario she dies of pneumonia before she even hits puberty.

omfg wtf is wrong with her I live in NYC and I had on my winter bubble jacket yesterday and my ass was still freezing
It was 40 degrees in Minnesota on Monday, and I went on a walk at lunch without a jacket. The rest of the country is a bunch of pansies. It's 49 here now and I broke a sweat at lunch today.
yeah Minneapolis is freezing. my old-lady neighbor said,"put some clothes on, kiddo, you'll catch a cold" and she was right. sniffle.
I live in Montreal, hours north of NY. You might recognize it as the city where they filmed "The Day After Tomorrow", i.e. the one about the ice age, and with damn good reason. I was walking around in a spring blazer today. I got hot and took it off.
Clearly, Suri made some noise about wearing her jacket and Katie smartly pulled it off her. Why bother letting a kid sweat? She doesn't look like she's freezing, does she?
Hold on a second, folks. Y'all without kids are not allowed to comment on this one, including you my lovely but lonely Stacey.
If you notice, Katie IS carrying a wee little coat. I'm guessing that, like most kids - including my own - Ms. Suri was running about and decided to ditch the coat even though it was 40 deg. Kids DO that. Mine almost never wear their coats, no matter how often I put them on them. They shed clothes, lose them, get cold, cry and whine, and then need their parents. Look around any school yard or playground at any time of year and you will find any number of clothing article scattered around - fogotten and abandoned.
That's what parenting's all about - to carry your coat so that when you're cold you can get warm again.
And yes, I'm speaking metaphorically as well.
BTW, this doesn't mean Katie's not a brainwashed scientology lunatic... that still applies.
luckily some of us child-free coat-advocates have a sense of humor to keep us company ... although I'm sure a whiny kid is great too. now excuse me while I go burn my manifesto on childcare I was planning to send Katie.
Im a Mom of (soon to be) two. And I would not let my kids parade around a cold park without a coat on. I would not care how much they screamed and fussed they would wear a damn coat. I also would not let my child go around in a sundress and bare legs at this time of year. I also wouldn't walk around bundled up in a winter jacket and let my kids go around in any less then what I have on myself. I think they are too into letting Suri raise herself and make her own decisions bc that is what their "religion" dictates. Instead of trying to be real parents who would put their foot down and tell their kids no. And wtf is up with that haircut? Did they just plop a bowl on her head?
Oh I saw this on TMZ tv. That is a blanket not a coat.
@ ThoughtfulExpression_EmptyHead:
True enough but I'm a mom of two boys and I'm sorry but if my 3 year-old took off his coat outside in cold weather, I'd make him put it back on whether he liked it or not. That's my job as a parent - to look out for his well-being and teach him some common sense, not to cater to his every little whim.
But then we're talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. If this child grows up to be anything but a spoiled self-absorbed person will honestly surprise me.
