Miscreant

AmyWinehouse_110907.jpgMiscreant Defined
A person who behaves badly or in a way that breaks the law.

When I heard that law enforcement had raided the home of Amy Winehouse Thursday night -- later taking her junkie husband, Blake Fielder-Civil into custody -- my reaction was along the lines of, "Oh, I guess it's Thursday." However, in a bizarre turn of events, the incident turns out not to be just another ordinary drug bust, but part of a trial fixing conspiracy. Wha...?

A distraught Amy Winehouse wept hysterically and screamed 'Baby, I love you' as husband Blake Fielder-Civil was arrested and led away by police officers over an alleged £200,000 trial-fixing plot. Amid dramatic scenes Fielder-Civil, 25, was seized by eight plain clothes officers at the flat in Bow. As he was led away, the 24-year-old singer kissed and hugged him, sobbing: "Baby, I love you. Baby, I'll be fine."
I'm still having a difficult time believing that this is something that happened in real life and not on the Lifetime Movie Channel, in one of the usual "Scummy Miscreants and the Stupid, Strung-out Women Who Love Them" features. Now that I think about it, Amy Winehouse's entire life could be summed up in a Lifetime movie title. Vacuous Attraction, anybody? Or how about Scandalous Desire? Stupid Devotion? I could keep going all day.
