A specific area, element or principle that dominates a work of art; the area in a work which the eye is most compellingly drawn. The viewer's eye is usually drawn there first.

Winona Ryder has signed onto the next Star Trek film. Directed by J.J. Abrams, the movie -- which will focus on the origins of the Enterprise -- will star Simon Pegg as Scotty, Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Eric Bana as the villain, Nero, and "Heroes'" Zachary Quinto as Spock. Winona Ryder has signed on to play Spock's mother. That's right, y'all: Winona is playing Sylar's Momma. Personally, I don't see it. That seems like an awful choice.
