As if just looking at Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz wasn't chunderous enough, People is currently running a story about Ashlee "mothering" her poor injured Petey Wetey, who broke his foot at a concert last month. That splattering sound you hear is the vomit christening my new ballet flats.

"When I'm being hard-headed and I don't want to elevate it, she says, 'No, put it on the pillow!" he told PEOPLE at his bar, Angels and Kings, in New York's East Village. "When I try to get in the shower by myself and am going to end up falling on the hotel room floor, she's good at stopping me."

Oh, well isn't that just so fucking precious. I wonder if she's also been braiding the hair on his My Little Ponies while he recuperates. At least we all can look forward to the inevitable nasty, malicious breakup when she tells everyone how he really broke his foot kicking the wall when the DVD player ate the last disc of his new "Gilmore Girls" box set.
